Teens and where to stay

Looking for a place to stay that%26#39;s fun for young teens with a pool, breakfast, in town, decent rooms, close to bike rental, etc.

Teens and where to stay

Hello julietravel,

Here is a web site that has information about Mackinac Island. You should find some interesting things there.

I am sure others will be by and post with additional ideas.

Teens and where to stay

The pool part of your requirement does limit your choices. The Lake View Hotel has an indoor pool, as does the Island House Hotel. The Chippewa has an outdoor pool, and the Murry Hotel has a spa deck. Mission Point also has a pool, but it is not downtown.

Depending on when you visit, you might find a package that includes breakfast. Bike rental locations are numerous, though bringing your own is certainly worth considering if it%26#39;s practical.

Downtown is only a few blocks long, so everything is very convenient to you when you stay there.

As Yooperbacker suggested, visit the Tourism Bureau website for links to hotels, bike rentals, attractions, etc.

Also be sure to look at the reviews for Mackinac Island businesses here on TripAdvisor.

We travel to Mackinac Island often with our kids who are now 15, 13 and 11. We prefer to stay out of town at the Inn at Stonecliffe. They offer wonderful suites in the Summer House, an outdoor pool and a great breakfast buffet in the morning. It%26#39;s true that it is not located in town for the shopping but it is located in a very interesting area of the island that many never see. We tend to spend the day in town seeing the sights. We then check in to the hotel, swim, have a happy hour on our balcony overlooking the Mackinaw Bridge (there is a small kitchenette so we are able to bring snacks and drinks along), then we dine at The Woods restaurant. Our kids love the atmosphere and the duck pin bowling offered at the bar.

Its just another idea. If I were to stay in town and wanted a pool, I think I would choose the Lake View. Great location in the middle of it all! Moms

Continuing off of ';Moms'; thought, we like to stay at the Condos out at Stonecliffe for many of the same reasons listed. We like the condos because of the full kitchens. We save money by making many of our own meals.

Otherwise I would agree with the Island House suggestion.
