We have a chance to stay at one of several lakes in the irish hills. We like to swim, boat and fish. We found a great deal for Posey Lake - but how does it compare to Devil%26#39;s, Round or
Wamplers. Is it clean, does it have a sandy bottom, etc.?

Posey Lake in Irish Hills Michigan
PJ: I see that noone has posted regarding your question. Unfortunately, I don%26#39;t know much about Posey Lake. I did find the following homeowner%26#39;s association website that offers a section called ';ask the lake';. Why don%26#39;t you post this question on that website. The homeowners will know the answers you seek. Please note that Posey Lake is a reservoir, if I%26#39;m not mistaken. As such, it may not have a full sand bottom. Frequently such lakes do not...they may have a rocky or silty bottom. Again, I would ';ask the lake';! Moms

Posey Lake in Irish Hills Michigan
Not so sure about that lake either... Round Lake is attached to Devil%26#39;s lake by a small channel. It%26#39;s smaller, shallower and less congested. It%26#39;s a good lake for swimming, boating, skiing, fishing, etc...There is even a sand bar in the middle. I%26#39;ve been to Wamplers and Devil%26#39;s , but it was a long time ago. Sand lake was the cleanest lake up there. Very clear and very sandy. Vineyard and Little Vineyard were very nice too. Very swimable, good fishing/boating/skiing. It has a nice ramp/parking area and a picnic area (it%26#39;s also a State Park.) IMO, you can%26#39;t go wrong with any of the lakes up there! :)
