We are planning a visit to the tulip farm the last weekend in April. I was just wondering if this is a good time to go? Any suggestions that anyone can offer as far as hotels and dining would also be appreciated. This is a girls trip. I will be traveling with my mother, sister, and two aunts.
Thanks!

Don%26#39;t know your hotel budget, but there is a new hotel in downtown Holland called City Flats. I%26#39;ve heard great things about the hotel and their restaurant, City Vu.

Yes, that would be a very good time to visit. The Tulip Festival is in early May, so end of April most of the tulips will be blooming in time for your visit. It is a nice place to visit, if you have not been there before, or if you are really into seeing/ordering tulips.
I%26#39;ve heard good things about the new hotel/restaurant also. A couple other restaurants would be Boatwerks, Piper, Butch%26#39;s and what was the name of the Italian place in Washington Square? It may not be there anymore. Oh and Via Maria.
I forgot about the Piper. It has always been one of our favorites in Holland.
We are also going there last weekend in April. We rented a cottage on the lake which was actually cheaper than a hotel and we will be able to cook some of our own food and sit on a beach. We are bringing our bikes so we can bike on the many trails they have around Holland.
Also, check out some other things we found to do around:
- all toulip attractions (Dutch villeage, gardens etc)
- skydiving in Fremont, MI (maybe not a great idea for mom or an aunt!)
- Grand Traverse Pie Co. (unbelievable pies!) in Norton Shores or Grand Rapids.
- many wineries on the way there or on the way back

Have fun!
Thanks so much everyone for all of the great suggestions!!
