Romantic Hotel/Inn

My wife and I will be celebrating our first anniversary in mid June. Any recommendations on a nice romantic hotel, inn or B%26amp;B in the Traverse City area? A top restaurant would also be helpful. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

If your idea of ';romantic'; excludes the usual chain/Hampton/Courtyard types, I%26#39;d suggest the smaller (and older, as you%26#39;ll read on this forum) Park Place Hotel or Wellington B%26amp;B... both downtown TC. Have your sunset cocktail at the Top of the Park and walk to a downtown restaurant like Amical, Red Ginger, Hanna, Phil%26#39;s (ambience good and fine food). For me, the romance of a smaller town is enjoying the unique aspects of that town... naturally, nicer/larger/newer rooms can be had at places like Grand Beach, Sugar Beach and the host of properties along the beach strip. Walking through the renovated ';Commons'; area, with small shops and the restaurant ';Stella';, would be nice in good June weather. It will be June, so leaving the car parked and walking will be good. I%26#39;m sure others will have their favorites too. Enjoy your visit.
