Looking to book something on the beach in July, but alot that I am seeing is $250 and up a night. I am trying to go on a long weekend trip (3 nights). Any opinions on the Beach Haus or the Sands? They didn%26#39;t seem as expensive as some of the other larger ones. Any other suggestions?

July rates will be at the summer high mark. Both the Beach Haus and Sands have been here forever and seem to hold their own in the face of new motel/property development. I%26#39;d go with the Beach Haus over the Sands. You may find some more reasonable rates ';off the beach';.

I would definitely try other hotels in the area, and then go to the State Park beach ($8 a day access fee or an annual $25? These might be changing before summer starts though..). Or, there are several great beaches (Clinch Park) in the city of TC itself you could park at and use. I%26#39;d also go with the Beach Haus over the Sands. If you want some other off beach hotel suggestions, let us know.
