Brunch in Lansing area?

My daughter will be graduating from MSU on Saturday, May 9th and we%26#39;ll be spending Saturday night in East Lansing. We want to have brunch on Sunday morning before we head back home. Since that Sunday is Mother%26#39;s Day I want to make a reservation.

I have reserved at Clara%26#39;s but they can%26#39;t put us on the main floor and my mother has a little trouble with stairs so I%26#39;m looking for other options. I considered the State Room at the Kellogg Center but it seems pretty expensive and doesn%26#39;t seem to have a buffet.

Any other suggestions?

I know Champps has a brunch on Sunday. Champps is a chain and you may have been to the Champps in Troy. Champps is located on Lake Lansing Rd (Eastwood Towne Center).

You may want to also try calling some of the full service hotels in town such as the Radisson Downtown and the Sheraton located on Creyts Rd. They may have a special mother%26#39;s day brunch. Another option is to try the Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe located on Lake Lansing Rd. They might have a mother%26#39;s day buffet as well.

Good luck

MSU Mom, you have been given good advice. I only wish you could have brunch at the University Club on Mother%26#39;s Day. It is truly lovely but you must either be a member or know a member. Do you know any members? If not, here are a couple of additional suggestions:

Soup 2 Nutz: It sounds very lovely and offers a very reasonable menu. The following are the menu and a review:

Beggar%26#39;s Banquet on Abbott Road in East Lansing

Hershey%26#39;s Steak and Seafood is open on Mother%26#39;s Day. I think you will need to call to find out the menu that is offered that day. It is not posted on their website.

Check to see if Troppo is open on Mother%26#39;s Day. It is usually closed on Sunday, but they may make an exception for Mother%26#39;s Day. http://www.troppo.org/

The hotels will probably offer the best options but perhaps the above recommendations can help. Moms
