We will be in Royal Oak next weekend, and would like to be close to the bars( walking distance) so we don%26#39;t have to worry about driving. Is this possible to do?

I wouldn%26#39;t say there is a hotel that is right in walking distance of all the bars on Main Street. You could get a hotel that is in close proximity of downtown Royal Oak and always take a cab. Once in RO you%26#39;ll have no problem walking between all the bars and restaurants.

There are no hotels near royal oak unless you don%26#39;t mind the places that offer hourly (or monthly) rates. Your best bet is the cluster of chains at 14 Mile and Stephenson in Madison Heights (Hampton, Red Roof, Residence,....) and a cheap cab ride.
